Production Evidence

Monitored cultivation at the Ful pilot site

Ful operates monitored lined raceway ponds at its pilot site near Islamabad. Pond conditions — including pH, temperature, surface coverage, and input levels — are observed daily and logged through Ful's operations reporting workflow.

The current active cultivation footprint is 16,000 sq ft across two ponds. Batch harvest records are being standardized before any figures are published. No harvest volumes or yields are claimed beyond what has been directly observed and logged.

Nutrition & Safety Evidence

Feed safety and nutritional characterization

Ful's duckweed biomass has been characterized for crude protein content and screened for aflatoxin through third-party testing. The figures below reflect observed ranges from initial sample testing. They are subject to natural variability across growing conditions and batches. Expanded batch-level testing is part of the validation roadmap.

Metric Observed result Basis & notes
Crude protein 35–40% Dry-weight basis; observed range across monitored cultivation. Values fluctuate with growing conditions.
Aflatoxin ~3.8 ppb Sample-based screening; below common regulatory safety thresholds. Broader batch-level screening ongoing.
Amino acid profile Pending Full amino acid characterization is under analysis. Results will be published when available.
Animal Trial Evidence

Multi-species trial evidence — preliminary and ongoing

Ful has conducted and supported partner trials across poultry, sheep, and aquaculture species. The summaries below reflect the evidence as it currently stands. All results should be interpreted within the specific trial designs and are subject to further validation.

Poultry — Layers
Layer poultry trial

Early trial data indicates a promising egg-production response when duckweed was combined with regular feed. Enhanced yolk pigmentation was observed. No adverse health effects were noted. Further structured validation is planned.

Preliminary
Sheep — Controlled Trial
Sheep feeding trial

Controlled partner trial data observed comparable weight outcomes in duckweed feed groups versus the control. Improved blood profile markers were noted. Results should be interpreted within the specific trial design. Manuscript is under peer review at the Journal of Animal and Feed Sciences.

Completed / under validation
Aquaculture — Fish & Shrimp
Aquaculture acceptance

Positive feed acceptance has been observed in preliminary work with fish and shrimp species. Inclusion-rate optimization and pellet development remain ongoing. Structured trials with university and farm-level partners are continuing.

How Ful monitors and reports production

Ful's monitoring infrastructure is designed to generate a transparent, verifiable record of cultivation activity as the operation scales.

Ful Ops Reporting

Daily pond observations are captured through a structured form workflow. Data includes pond coverage, pH, temperature, input type, and any issues observed.

Google Sheet monitoring log

Ops reports feed into a centralized Google Sheet monitoring log, providing a time-stamped audit trail of field observations.

Dashboard architecture

The production dashboard is built and live at dashboard.html. It is designed to connect directly with the Ful Ops Reporting Google Sheet endpoint when that integration is published.

Scheduled reporting

Automated reporting pipelines are being configured to generate periodic evidence summaries from the Ops log as data collection matures.

The dashboard is designed to connect with Ful Ops Reporting. Public figures remain curated and preliminary until the live endpoint is published. The dashboard currently displays sample monitoring data representative of the pilot system.

What is still under validation

Ful is at pilot stage. The items below represent open validation work that will inform future product claims and commercial expansion.

Inclusion rates by species
Full amino acid profile characterization
Pellet stability and field durability
Shelf life and storage conditions
Replicated, structured trials across species
Batch-to-batch consistency at volume
Cost-performance at larger production volumes
Expanded aflatoxin batch-level screening
Frequently Asked Questions

Questions from partners and reviewers

Is Ful's duckweed feed commercially proven?
Ful has preliminary and partner-trial evidence, but broader commercial validation is ongoing. The company is at pilot stage and does not claim commercial-scale validation.
Can duckweed replace soybean meal?
It may partially replace imported protein sources depending on species, formulation, and trial results. Ful does not claim universal replacement of soybean meal. Inclusion rates must be validated per species through structured trials.
Is the product safe?
Ful uses testing and monitoring, including aflatoxin screening. An initial result of ~3.8 ppb was observed — below common regulatory thresholds. Broader batch-level testing is part of the validation roadmap. Buyers should conduct independent verification appropriate to their regulatory context.
What animals is Ful focused on?
Ful's primary commercial focus is aquaculture (fish and shrimp), with ongoing trial work in poultry (layers) and sheep. Dairy and other ruminant applications are a longer-term priority.
Is the dashboard live?
The dashboard currently uses sample monitoring data and is designed for future connection to Ful Ops Reporting. It is accessible at dashboard.html and gives a representative view of how the monitoring system is structured.
Data-Use Disclaimer

This page summarizes preliminary and partner-trial evidence. It is not a final feed formulation recommendation. Inclusion rates should be validated with qualified nutritionists and species-specific trials before commercial use. All figures reflect observed ranges under active monitoring conditions and are subject to natural variability. Ful does not claim full commercial replacement of imported soybean meal, and any environmental benefits are described as potential rather than proven.
